So, what exactly is an Indie Author?
In my view, the Indie Authors are the cool kids on the block.
Indie Authors are taking the publishing world by storm, thanks to all of the self-publishing and online market sites that are available to explore. they are taking a gigantic leap of faith and putting their words in print for the world to embrace and become inspired by.
The word Indie is short for the word Independent.
A writer who is an independent sort and takes on the challenge of writing and publishing his/her book without going through the conventional channels of hiring a publishing house; publisher, editor, producer and marketer is considered an Indie Author. This is not to say that an Indie Author can not hire an independent editor or proofreader or marketer, but it simply means that he/she does not sign on with a major publishing house (who does everything for the author, except write the words).
Yes, a self published author is indeed an Indie Author.
Anyone who goes through the process of writing and publishing and marketing a book in this unconventional way is indeed an Indie Author.

Poetry Book Reviews
I love supporting Indie Authors in any way I can. In an effort to show my support, I have been offering Poetry Book Reviews that I publish on my social media accounts, as well as on Amazon and Good Reads. At this time, I do not charge for this service, but ask that you follow me on social media through your social media accounts. My review process is that I first publish the Book Reviews to my social media pages and then, as time allows, I publish the Book Reviews to Amazon and Good Reads. If you would like me to review your poetry book please contact me with details and I will respond as soon as possible.
Editing & Proofreading Manuscripts
Do you need someone to take a look at your manuscript? Offer advice on illustrations and poetic form? Be a sounding board for your publishing ideas? If so… I have self published three books through Amazon KDP and am familiar with the process of Indie publishing. I have experience in both the design and formatting aspects of the manuscript to submit for publication. I would be delighted to read your words, look at your manuscript and offer advice on questions you may have.
Poetry Book Design
I adore the process of seeing a blank page materialize into a work of art and have used both Instagram and my self published books as my canvas. I use imagery from Canva Pro and Dreamstime in most of my designs but will also use other avenues if desired.
